Donate-A-Blanket-Project
As the Tekelbei Foundation, we are happy to give back to needy communities in Bomet County through our Donate- A- Blanket project.
This is a problem that can be easily overlooked, as some of us are lucky enough to stay warm during harsh, cold, and rainy days and nights. Typically, Bomet County experiences long and cold winters which can last up to 4 months with temperatures dropping to as low as 53 °F. This means those who are deprived of comfortable warm clothing and bedding cannot achieve sound sleep which is essential to our health. In addition, their children and elders become susceptible to cold-related diseases and infections such as flus and colds.
Through the Foundation, we have successfully managed to gift over 800 quality and durable blankets to community members. Our people have always been proactive in ensuring only the best quality blankets are sourced and reaches those in need.
Some of the beneficiaries are from Leldaet, Kapkawa, Blugam and Tinderet villages in Bomet County. Our work does not stop here as we will continue to help even more of our communities as there will always be a huge need.
We will keep committing to our calling to make the world a better place for someone.
